People are just naturally too greedy for a free market to work. Personally I think it's time for apple to ditch AT&T for good. But they won't because AT&T bows to them and they make way to much money off the phones. So AT&T decides to nickel and dime the customers for every little service. "just go buy a different service" well excuse me that I don't like the other other phones or tablets. This seems almost mute anyways because someone will outsmart them just like before and find a work around.

To ask the government to step in and regulate the company because you don't like the way they offer the product they are selling in a free market is exactly why the US is in the financial trouble it is. The government is not the answer - most of the time they are the problem.
Last heard Apple had added another carrier in the US - Verizon - based on the market demanding it...
