The iPadís virtual keyboard is a bit of a love/hate thing. Some people manage with it okay and donít mind the lack of a tactile keyboard, whereas others just canít get to grips with it and end up buying a Bluetooth keyboard. It would seem that 15-year-old Eduard Saakashvili falls firmly into the former category, as the young Georgian has just set a new world record for iPad typing, Cult of Mac reports, managing to type the complete English alphabet correctly in just 5.26 seconds, and with one hand, as well! In doing so, Eduard has managed to knock 1.05 seconds off the previous record, which was set in 2010 by another teenager, British youth Charlie Joseph McDonnell. Interestingly enough, Eduard also happens to be the son of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his wife, Sandra Roelofs, who said that they were ďvery proudĒ of their sonís fast-fingered world record-breaking feat.
When interviewed by Georgian TV, Eduard said that he was ďvery happy,Ē and that he had been preparing for the attempt for months.
