I used to despise apple, until I was given a first generation iPod touch. I've been converted. I know have an iPhone 3G, an iphone4 and an iPad. My next purchases will be to replace my laptop with a MacBook, when the laptop finally dies.

I must say I was never much of a fanboy for any device or platform...but all that changed with the purchase of an iPad. I drank the Apple Kool-aid. And will continue to drink it no matter what else comes out.

Same here. I was an Android girl.....until i got my ipad and then quickly traded my Android for an iPhone 4. Havent looked back.

I usually chuckle at all kinds of fanboys/girls. Not to mention the really hardcore ones...

I'm very indifferent on the brand hype with Apple or what ever the brand is. If the device I'm holding right now said Android, Windows or what ever on it and worked the same way, then I would've chosen that.

I don't think my iPad 2 or IPod Touch is the best thing since sliced bread, hence I'm keeping my choices open.

Seriously, it's not the best thing since sliced bread. but is indeed the start of a thought process, and that came with a bang, a bang so loud, that every single manufacturer with a name of repute, literally stopped doing whatever they had on their drawing board and started working on it..... So it's not about the Apple Fanboy/Girls waving their flags, its all about an idea which was dismissed almost a dsecade ago, brought back to life, and the Fanboys/Girls have a reason to cheer too. And I would also stand up and salute it for the sake of technology........

Let me know when September comes.....

I'm hooked on apple, I'm even trying to get a job at the apple store, had iPods since the first shuffle, iPhones since the first iPhone, got iPad 2 but I've never owned a Mac, but now im looking at getting a Mac mini so I can develop iPad apps.

Like I said elsewhere, iPad2 is not an option for me since I have the iPad Classic (1st Generation) and will save money probably for a MacBook Pro or an iMac with a 21 inch monitor.....

I wouldn't both with a job at an apple store as the roads are not paved with gold and it turns out to be like any retail job, trustee when I say this as I worked in an apple retail store for a year and have first hand knowledge

I guessed as much, however a Mac Mini might not be much against a iMac or a MBP - am I wrong ?

Well a mac book pro or an iMac would knock a mac minis socks off, I'd suggest waiting for a refresh which is imminent and see how the specs and price weigh up at the time
