More great news for UK iPad owners this week with VEVO finally getting its HD iPad app up and running in the UK App Store, some five months after it was released in the US. In fact, as T3 reports, it’s not just the app that the UK is getting for the first time, it’s also the entire VEVO music video website, which was up until this week only available in the UK via VEVO’s more limited You Tube site. Thankfully now UK music fans can gorge themselves on VEVO’s library of 25,000 tracks and 7,500 artists from all the major labels such as EMI, Sony and Universal. If you like music, then you’re really going to love this app, which enables you to make your own custom playlists of your favourite videos, and features original VEVO interviews and behind-the-scenes features as well as the official music videos. It even suggests videos that you might like from your previous selections, and it seems pretty accurate too! The “Featured” section is a fantastic way to discover new music, as it has a selection of recent videos from a variety of genres that you can dip into when you feel like it. The app is also AirPlay compatible, so you can watch the videos on your TV if you’ve got an Apple TV box. Overall a great app and one not to miss if you’re a music fan.
