Family Games Fun has already been a big hit on lots of other platforms, such as the Nintendo Wii and Sony’s PSP Minis, so it’s great to see it finally appearing in the App Store. The game features eight of the best-loved pen and paper games from the past, including Battle Fleet, Noughts & Crosses, Matchsticks, Squares (Dots), 4 In-A-Row, Nine Men’s’ Morris (Mill), Hangman and Safe Cracker. When playing in Tournament Mode, you get to challenge up to three other players to a tournament of skill and luck, with the iPad being the perfect venue for your battles with its larger screen, of course. There are various different game modes and settings to tinker with so that you can customise your gaming experience, and over 20 achievements to unlock. At present it seems to be only available in the UK store, but it should be released to the US store any day now.
