Big Head Games has announced a brand new scary racing game called Zombie Racers, that will be hitting the app store in time for Halloween for iPad and iPhone. Take on the best Zombie Racers in either Story Mode or Free Roaming Mode. Story Mode entails (or should that be “entrails”?!) racing and killing zombies, using zombie kills to upgrade your car, and unlocking new tracks by winning races.

Free Roaming Mode enables you to go anywhere you like, use weapons on zombies and each other, and compete in three further game modes – Dusk to Dawn, 666 Zombies and Every Last Drop.

There are 10 cars featured in the game, from pickups and monster 4x4s to drift cars and even a golf cart! Players will get to explore 14 tracks, from a forest and a cornfield to an airport and shopping mall. Both single and 2-player modes are available, as are OpenFeint achievements and high scores. There’s even a punk soundtrack from Bankrupt, as featured in the YouTube trailer, so you can kill zombies with even more of a rebellious flourish. Sweet!
