MacWorld reports today that Apple has released an update for its MobileMe Gallery app, which now fully supports the iPad, iPhone 4, and iOS 4. The app enables users to view their friends’ photos on their iPad, as well as any movies and videos that they have stored on MobileMe. Aside from the dedicated iPad interface, iPad owners also get a new screensaver feature. According to MacWorld, update 1.2 has also added support for multitasking in iOS 4, and support for the iPhone 4’s Retina display.
Some of the new features added to MobileMe Gallery include an expanded version of the iPhone’s “recent photos” ticker area which is now a full photo-frame feature for the iPad, which slowly rotates two of your most recent photos when you log in to your account or add a friend’s gallery.
And there’s also good news for anyone who isn’t a MobileMe member – use of the app has now been opened up to non- MobileMe members. If you don’t have an account, just tap a new “Add a friend” button at the login screen and you’ll be able to browse through your MobileMe friends’ galleries without being signed up as a member.
MobileMe Gallery 1.2 is available for free here.
