Audible.com announced today that it has updated its Audible iPhone app so that it is now compatible with the iPad. The new iPad Audible experience is designed to be a “visually stunning” app, with enhanced browsing and playback features.
The new, user-friendly interface features a grid-view library layout, focusing on each audiobook’s cover art, and offering at-a-glance perusal.“More than 20 percent of Audible customers already use Audible’s iPhone app on the iPad,” said Ajay Arora, VP Mobile Applications. “We’re now delivering a vastly improved listening experience for this quickly growing segment of Audible customers, which is also great news for anyone who’s always wanted to try the Audible service on an iPad.”
If you’re not familiar with Audible, it is, as you might have guessed, a way to download audiobooks directly to your computer or device, and also gives you news, listening stats, badges, and much more, all about the world of audiobooks!
