The Amazon Kindle may be better at ONE thing but that's the only thing it can do besides the other little things you can do with it. The iPad to me is like an eBook reader/laptop.

Is there an anti-glare screen for the iPad that will really let me read out in the sun????? I love my iPad, and don't really want to add another gadget to my bag. It's heavy enough!![]()
It will help by reducing glare/reflections on the display. The most effective solution would be the alter contrast, but few if any portables let you do that. My early IBM ThinkPads had the option of reversing the display, going from black print on white background to white on black, which helped in bright light (and low-light) situations. Doing the same on the iPad helps a bit as well.
The only thing I noticed is that the chick is pretty hot and looks good in a bikini![]()
Oy. Fanbois = FAIL. Why does it need to be an either-or proposition?
I have a 64GB iPad. I also have 3 Kindles (1st gen, 2nd gen, DX) and they serve different purposes. For reading sessions and from a battery-life perspective, the Kindle is a hands-down winner. For all other purposes, it can't hold a Kandle to the iPad...
Whatever you can read on a Kindle YOU can read on an Ipad
Kindle is not a multipurpose gadget. It's intended for e-reading, so of course it's better than any multifunctional device. iPad provides not bad reading experience, but those who need a device just for the e-reading should definitely choose Kindle.
