The iPad has Already Reached More than 100,000 Apps
MacStories reports today on a new record that has just been set in the App Store by Apple and third-party developers, with the news that in the 453 days since the original iPad was released on April 3, 2010, the App Store now has over 100,000 iPad-exclusive apps available for download. This represents a big jump from the last time MacStories reported on the number of iPad apps in the App Store, back in March, when there were 75,000 apps available. 9to5 Mac breaks this down to on average 280 new apps per day for the iPad. 9to5 Mac also wonders why Apple isnít making more of a song and dance about this news today, as it generally likes to point out things that set it aside from Android! However Iím sure something will be said by the time the next keynote address comes round, by which time the total may well be closer to 200,000 than 100,000!
