iPad mini shipments predicted to reach 12 million in Q1 2013
The iPad mini will seemingly carry on its big brother legacy by becoming major hit, sources from the Chinese CCIDNet seem to indicate.
The information is apparently backed up by industry key sources which claim that all the problems Apple has been experiencing in the iPad mini assembly department have been handled. Therefore all shippings are being carried out without any kind of delay or other interferences. Thus, according to the Chinese report, the sales figures for the iPad mini covering the period of the first quarter of 2013 are predicted to reach the 11 million threshold.
The information in the report is being supported by facts, as shipment time for the iPad mini has been reduced lately to 3-5 business days at the max. Obviously, Apple has managed to improve its assembly line in this sector!
Also, the report explains that even if in recent times shipments of iMacs have shrunk, when compared with Apple’s total revenue, the problem has been surpassed. Therefore this quarter, iMac sales are expected to start rising once more. According to CCIDNet, last quarter, Cupertino reported selling only about 4.4 million units of its Mac computers, but this next quarter the shipments are expected to multiply significantly, the predicted numbers of items sold being placed at 14 million units. The difference is of course huge, so one might not help but wonder if the first figure is actually a result of some kind of mistranslation.
