Garageband for my son, for only $4.99
I can tell the exact day I got my iPad 1; from my purchase history. I downloaded 33 apps that day. Which one was first, probably iBooks. Some others that I still use to this day are:
(1) iBooks
Bento for iPad (because I also have Bento for the Mac)
The iWorks apps (Pages, Numbers, Keynote)
WolframAlpha (no one with an ounce of curiosity should be without this)
GoodReader
1Password Pro
PCCalc Lite
Manual for the United States of America (because I keep meaning to read it)
Uni Sudoku
TWC
NPR for iPad
USA Today for iPad
White & Yellow Pages (Was only the Yellow Pages back then)
ArtStudio for iPad
Brushes - iPad Edition
Topo Maps for iPad
Air Harp (just because)
Wikipanion for iPad (for serious Wikipeida-digging)
Netflix.
AA
GoodReader...
iBooks I think, because it told me too!
I already had a lot of apps I had bought for my iPod and transferred to my iPad.The first app I downloaded directly to my iPad from iTunes was the Star Trek PADD.
