The Dutch police has found a very clever to make more money. They buy TomTom's navigation usage data to determine the most lucrative places for speed traps.
Of course, all information is anonymized and thus safe. :D

Was a bit too quick to press send. The data is used to see where people are speeding and the setup speed traps there. Makes sense to me and i do not see the harm of it. You drive to fast, you pay. If you look at how many idiots there are on the road (and not only in Holland) I have no objection to it.
Yes, I drive (too) fast myself, but not in all countries. In some countries it is just too expensive. And if you drive too fast in Europe never do it with more than 30 kms/hr. In most countries you don't get off with only a summon.
