D from Canada
Hi all! I have an ipad, and my special needs son has one, too. I have tried using mine in my special needs classroom - it is so motivational!
I am always on the lookout for apps for my son, for my class and for myself - I recently downloaded the Kindle app, and I bought several books.
Hello D From Canada!
Welcome to the forum. I hope you downloaded the iPad owners guide. by downloading it into iBooks you have access to information about your iPad when you are not connected.
The best thing IMHO about the iPad with regard to reading books, is the choices you have: I have found that if the kindle provides a book having iBooks on board allows comparison shopping. In addition to iBooks and kindle, I have the nook, stanza, freebooks aps. I have also downloaded good reader. All of these apps provides me all kinds of ways getting book/reading material. If you also want to find topical news, there are a lot of newspaper apps and tv news apps.
