How do I change my Avatar , I just joined the forum

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

To change the avatar, you need to do this from a PC. Then go to ipadforums.net and click on 'User CP' (User Control Panel) and you'll find a control there to edit your avatar.
If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

I have just changed mine. I gave up trying through Photobucket and the iPad as I kept getting error messages, such as file too large, when clearly it was within the size limits of 16Kb and 80x80 pixels.Quote:

But just enjoy your iPad. Like any new product, they'll be 'issues' that will arise - first piece of advice, don't panic and don't do anything rash. I've read of people who have restored their iPads - generally a last resort - when the problem was far far simpler.
