HELP NEEDED...Brand new Ipad does not turn on--Apple Refuses To Help
I hope you folks can give me advice. I received a new 32G, Verizon Ipad as a gift in February 2012. Because I am very busy and never had the time, I first opened the celophane last week while on the phone with verizon about my girlfriend's Ipad. My new one would not turn on except for with the wall charger and had repeated message of "Restore Needed". It also would not sync with the desktop.
After a phone call with customer service, they arranged for an appointment at the Apple Store. Manager at Apple Store refused to help, refused to repair, and refused to replace.......saying that it is out of warranty. I had not even removed the plastic wrapping and had the celophane from the box. Manager was rude and nasty.
I spoke to the people that gave me the gift and they paid $749 at the Apple Store, have the receipt and feel terrible. Despite it being brand new and never working, Apple treated me like I was dirt on the street. What do I do??????????? Any suggestions????????
