No sounds

I selected all the sounds in settings, adjusted the volum, but my ipad isnt making one noise! What am i doing wrong?

If you didn't already. Check that you have the latest updates. I know once my sound went out; I updates and it was fine!

Turns out there is a little switch next to the volume control! Duh! My 16 yr old daughter has put me to shame! I will do the updates too. Thanks.
