More sources

So I wanted to look at more Cydia apps. When I go on the screen to add more sources, it says that is not recommended. Why?

The pre-loaded sources are sufficient for the majority of mainstream apps.
The warning really relates to adding untrusted sources which could pass off any old piece of malware as a legitimate package.
You need to make your own call about which sources you trust and therefore want to add.
