How can I jailbreak my Apple TV 3rd gen?Its running 6.1

At this present moment, it can't be Jailbroken, but lets hope this doesn't mean it will never be able too!!

I was just wondering if this may be the reason for why it's taking about 3 hours to finish step 1 of my AppleTV3 update!

that's exactly it Jamiew, as the aTV2 is jail breakable then it's cost is kept up high because of demand, I'm sure that will change when the aTV3 JB is available

It's 5.2: allows us to listen to music from iCloud, use a Bluetooth keyboard, airplay audio for videos and fixes bugs.

This is what Firecore are saying at moment

Hey all, we're hard at work on an updated version of Seas0nPass that takes advantage of the Evasi0n jailbreak and plan to have this available soon.
Please keep in mind that while the FireCore plugins will work on Apple TV 5.1, a few minor adjustments (which are currently in progress) are needed to ensure things continue to run smoothly on Apple TV 5.2. Things like Plex and XBMC do not yet work on Apple TV 5.1 and later, and will likely require A LOT of work by their respective developers in order to be compatible.
I'll update this post as more information becomes available.

So........

although the aTV2 is jailbreakable on the new 5.2 iOS the stuff that goes with it XBMC etc, hasn't been updated to work on it, and may take some time, so the iH8Sn0w Sn0wBreeze v2.9.9 although compatible for the aTV2 jailbreak is probably not worth following through with.

aTV2 is Jailbreakable at iOS 5.2 but I would personally wait and see when the updates for various applications start coming through

aTV3 is still not Jailbreakable on any iOS as of the current time. I'll try and keep you posted as and when this changes

remember, this is only my opinion, others may vary!
