my iPad's auto brightness seems doesn't work that well at all compare to iPhone/iPod touch. Every day, i have to adjust manually for the day time and night time. It is kinda getting annoying.
Is it my iPad a faulty unit or it is actually how iPad has been designed?
I can see brightness changes a very tiny bit here and there. Most of the times my display looks like going only slight brighter and slight darker...
The few times that I've left autobrightness engaged, I've never noticed any difference. I've even covered the light sensor while watching the screen at full power. I keep it off now.
It appears to be a common complaint, that the auto brightness doesn't. It's nothing like how it works on the iPhone. Perhaps tomorrow's iOS4 rollout will resolve things... :)
