A few things in the media this morning:
HTC Evo 4G is taking a big hit on the web. It appears that the new smart phone is literally falling apart on users. Apparently the glass is separating from the frame.
Pundits are lauding the introduction of the new iPhone and iOS as redefining the smart phone again. That a new way of using smart phones is developed with each generation, it makes one wonder when will it cease to happen?Quote:
Last week at Apple's WWDC, Steve Jobs introduced FaceTime and iMovie for iPhone, two features that may cause us to re-examine the way we think about smartphones and tablets.
From MacWorld; Varian Medical is planning on transitioning from Blackberries to iPhones and possibly iPads after the introduction of iOS4. In fact, many of the corporate IT people are looking with pleasure at the new business friendly aspects of the iPhone. Varian Medical is a manufacturer of medical devices and software for hospitals and clinics in 60 countries. Right now they are supporting iphones for about a third of their mobile devices, but will not authorize their 1600 tech support personnel to use them. After a 6 month zip around the world to touch base with all their locations, they expect to begin the full transition.
