Why app price changes?
Why prices of so many apps go up and down often?
If a paid app reduces it's price then it is not fair to those who already bought the app at higher price!
Also if an app history of price reduction then it might put people to wait till price goes down again rather than buying it outright.
It may also drive users to buy an alternative (often cheaper) app instead.
I think it's like any other promotion - in supermarkets, for example - it encourages sales and publicises the app so that it becomes better known in the marketplace. You only have to look at the way supermarkets 'juggle' offers and cut-price offers to see the business model.

Where and how would you kit out a Windows PC with the applications we have on the iPad, and more importantly, how much would we have to pay? Personally, I'm delighted that I can buy world radio apps full featured music recording.....etc. The list is endless. For a tiny fraction of Windows bloatware!
