Couple of questions

Hi everyone,

Recently caved in and finally bought myself an iPad but have a couple of questions regarding it.

1. How can I sync my email contacts onto my contacts page?
2. What is the best way to watch other video formats through the iPad? Or do I have to convert everything, if so, what is the best free software to do this?

Contacts are coming from a Gmail account. Also used for my apple id and main email account.
