I'm having no luck texting non-iDevices on my wifi only iPad 2. Is it capable of sending texts to other systems? I get an error saying the contact (or device) isn't registered with iMessage. Limitation or noobie screw up? I'm guessing the latter..... Any help would be appreciated, TIA

Imessaging can only be done with apple to apple mobile devices... and that have the the ios 5 update--Sorry. :(
I am not sure if there are other apps available in the appstore to text others outside our apple network, but that may be what you are looking for.
