New to apple, new to forums and new to my ipad2.

Trying hard to connect a hp 3050A J611 series printer to my wireless network in order to print from my iPad. The iPad detects the printer (as a separate wireless network in Settings) but I have to choose and keep switching between my router and the printer.
For some reason, I don't think the printer can detect the router and connect to it. Confusingly, the printer status report shows up my router!

Help please.

I have this same printer and had similar problems setting it up. I was successful after I assigned static ip addresses to the equipment using the wireless router.
