When an app says Waiting, it is in the process of being downloaded and cannot be deleted. You can either to wait for it to finish downloading, or reboot the iPad by keeping the power button pressed and then Slide to cancel, or download the app in iTunes and sync the iPad.

Hi, I need help on the same issue too. I've read through all other discussions - I have 5 apps saying 'loading' but wouldn't download properly as >20MB. I'm travelling & do not have access to my iTunes nor Wifi to clear these, and have tried rebooting & restarting my iPad but just wouldn't work. Please help me.

When i delete an app, do i get all my space back? Not just apps, but music and movies too.

When you delete an app, it deletes everything associated with that app. So if you where to delete a video app, it would also delete all movies saved into that app. So yes, you get all the space back, which was used by that app, as well as the space used up by any files saved in that app.
