Same here. US only app?Originally Posted by slothead
Sorry for lack of specifics here. Don't know if it's US only? It's a Mac print app that sits on my MBP, and my iPad prints through it via wifi. iPad "sees" every printer that allows sharing on the network and can print through any of them. It works quite well. Not sure if this would be of help to you.
Well I learned through the webpage that it can only be downloaded by a Mac, so I can't use it on my iPad because my iTunes runs on a PC.

EMP-Susceptible - with an iMac, 15" MacBook Pro/Retina, MacBook Air 11", iPod touch 2, 4, and iPad 2.
...and I just downloaded the trial version of Printopia (ecamm.com/mac/printopia/). Worked immediately!! Full version is only $9.95.. cheaper than buying a new printer!![]()

I have my ipad connected to my wireless printer via my home network and it works fineOriginally Posted by nateccnn
Can ipad connect to non-wireless .i.e usb printer to print? Any model? Or ipad only can print using wifi?
That is only possible with 3rd party apps.Originally Posted by coolcat
With Print'n'share, you should be able to hook up the printer directly to the iPad via USB through the camera connection kit and print.
Or so did the app description make me assume. I can't actually get it to work, when the printer is connected to the iPad via USB. The app only searches for Wifi printers. Makes me wonder what they mean by you can print via Wifi/Bluetooth/USB.

I think the way it works is that your printer is connected direct to the hub/router which is then set up through your hime network which then you can connect too with your ipadOriginally Posted by coolcat
It is my understanding - although I have Print Central - that you can print either directly to a printer by WiFi or indirectly via the Developer's additional free app for your PC to a USB or Bluetooth printer connected to your PC. i.e. the PC needs to be switched on too and the iPad then communicates with your PC and the app in the PC transfers that printing to the printer attached to your PC. For sure, that's the way it works with Print Central.
