Edit photos on PC

Use Windows Photo Gallery, the latest version, on my PC to edit photos & keep them organized. Photos taken on the IPad can't always be edited. Any idea why? Thx.

That's what I thought. "can not be" they are jpg's which I edit all the time in that program. Could it be that they are a different kind of jpg?

I've never seen a jpeg that could not be edited. I guess is the file is not really a jpeg. Probably mis-named.
